Tour Code: CTC-Roluos-01 Destination:Lolei - Preah Ko - Bakong - Prasat Prei Monti Duration: 4 hours
Discover the Roluos Group, where the first temple mountain in Angkor region was built: the Bakong temple. Enjoy your discovery by REMORK.
Visit the impressive Bakong temple, the center of the ancient city of Hariharalaya. Built in the 9th century AD (about three centuries before Angkor Wat!), it was the model for all other temple mountains built in Angkor. Learn about the religious and symbolic meaning of this temple mountain, which was for long time the highest man made construction on the indochinese peninsula.
The Roluos temples are located in a beautiful cultural landscape with lots of sugar palms. The religious life is still active as lots of monks live in the nearby pagodas.
Lolei temple is built of brick and placed on an island of the (now dried!) baray of Indratataka. Enjoy this quiet place and see the statues of apsaras and devatas and the important stone inscriptions.
You discover the relicts of the ancient city of Hariharalaya by traditional REMORK. Enjoy to "feel" and to "smell" this cultural landscape!
Our special extra: Visit of Prasat Prei Monti
Enjoy to be the only tourist in this nice, remote temple, off the beaten tracks.
See the beautiful statues of devatas and apsaras and the famous lintels in Preah Koh temple.
After your visit, return by Tuk-Tuk to your hotel.
